Zorra Township, the largest of the 5 rural Townships of Oxford, has a total land mass of 529 square km. It's comprised of several rural clusters and two serviced villages, home to some 8,100 residents.
Its large aggregate and lime deposits and agricultural base make it home to some unique and diversified commercial/industrial enterprises, which in turn, also create unique hazards.
Zorra’s infrastructure, size, and diversity dictate an organized response and deployment of resources during an emergency event to be effective. We’ll never stop emergencies or disasters from happening, but by being prepared we can all do our part in implementing an “Emergency Response Plan” that will minimize the loss of life and/or property damage to make Zorra a safer place to live, work and raise a family.
