The Town of Tillsonburg Emergency Management Plan has been prepared to facilitate a controlled and coordinated municipal response to any type of emergency occurring within or affecting the municipality.
This program aims to make provisions for the extraordinary arrangements and measures that need to be taken to protect the health, safety, welfare, environment and economic health of the residents, businesses and visitors of the Town of Tillsonburg; to prevent emergencies from occurring, if possible, or lessen the impact of an emergency should one occur; prepare adequately for and respond appropriately to, when faced with an emergency; and provide the support necessary to assist all stakeholders in the community in respect to recovery from an emergency event.
This program enables a centralized controlled and coordinated response to emergencies in the Town of Tillsonburg, and meets the legislated requirements of the Emergency Management & Civil Protection Act.
